Every year the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago organizes cycles of guided tours to the Roman villa of Giannutri and guided nature hike along the paths of the island.
The Roman villa of the Domitii Ahenobarbi has recently undergone restoration and safety work and is only accessible by guided tour.
Nature excursions are possible only respecting the strict rules imposed by the Park Authority to protect the extraordinary natural environment of Giannutri: occasional visitors (not homeowners, renters or their guests) are obliged to visit the island with the assistance of authorized guides, with the sole exception of the central corridor connecting Cala Spalmatoio to Cala Maestra, which can be crossed freely.
